To be honest, I have not always been into the whole yoga scene. For the longest time, I thought it was lame and not necessary. “There is no way they are getting a good workout,” I would often say, or “it seems so boring.” Little did I know that since starting a regular practice of yoga over the past 3 years, it would change my life. Not only am I more flexible, but I am physically stronger and have more endurance during triathlons and other races.
There are many different types or styles of yoga available. Depending on what you are looking for in your practice, some may be better than others. Whether you like the simple Hatha yoga or the vigorous Vinyasa yoga, each class is based on a set of asanas (or yoga poses) that provide many benefits. Not sure where to start? Don’t be intimidated! The instructors are always welcoming and knowledgeable with modifications to all poses, just in case one does not work well with your body.
