I know it’s been a while since I’ve made a Motivational Monday post, I’m sorry! Hopefully this one comes just at the right time for you.
I ran across a saying a few days ago that really hit home for me. “Eat like you love yourself. Move like you love yourself. Speak like you love yourself. Act like you love yourself.”
Is that not an amazingly motivating saying?
Over the years, I have dealt with major body image issues. Feeling I was too fat, not fast enough, or that I wasn’t good enough to compete in a race. While those thoughts and feelings never quite go away, I have learned (still trying to learn) to love myself and everything that I am capable of. As soon as I started to eat, move, speak and act like I loved myself, the easier it became to ignore those thoughts in my mind that would drag me down and make me feel not worthy.
Everyday may be a challenge for you, but if you take it one step at a time you will be amazed by the things you can accomplish. Fill your body with healthy foods, instead of junk food (or opting to starve yourself). Start a workout routine with a friend or just go out for a walk. Don’t let negative words come out of your mouth, when you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see. (You are a beautiful work in progress!) And most importantly don’t just “act”, but honestly love yourself for everything that you are and bring to this world.
