Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Switch it up by celebrating with a couple workout that is perfect for you and your significant other. It's a great way to spice up your fitness routine and holiday!
Working out as a couple can help improve your relationship on many levels. I love being able to share a hobby that both my husband and I enjoy. We worked out together while we were dating and still make it an important part of our relationship today. Below you will find a list of my top benefits to working out as a couple. Get out and sweat with your sweetie! You won't regret it!
QUALITY TIME
With a busy schedule and/or a growing family it can be hard to enjoy a little quality time. Making time to workout together is a great way to find that "quality time." Schedule it in if you have to! There is no better time spent than working out on your body and relationship at the same time.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Finding that motivation to get out and workout does not always come naturally. But, if you have a partner that is pushing you and motivating you, believe me, you will find the energy to do it. I love that my husband motivates me to be a better me everyday and vice versa!
BETTER TEAMMATES
Working out and pushing each other will help you become better teammates on and off the field. There will be times when you see each others weaknesses, but working through them together is no greater feeling. Believe me when I say that working out together helps you grow stronger together on so many levels.
INTIMACY
Without disclosing too much information...a couple workout is a wonderful way to have more intimacy, emotionally and physically. If you don't mind sweaty kisses!
LEARN FROM EACH OTHER
The times that my husband and I workout together often feel like intense counseling sessions. We talk about our day, our frustrations, our goals, etc. It is the perfect time to de-stress and show each other how much we care by listening to each other.
There are two types of people in this world: the ones who make exercising an integral part of their lives and the ones who do not.
This Valentine's Day is the perfect time to start a new workout routine with your love. Make your health and relationship a priority. The couple that sweats together stays together!
