    Motivational Monday v.3

It's Monday! I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy!  Today is a perfect day for another Motivational Monday post.  I don't know about you, but I definitely need it after a long and stressful past couple of weeks.

Today is a perfect day for another Motivational Monday post from The Healthy Home Cook.

My quote of the day is "a little progress each day adds up to big results."  I love this quote!  How often do we compare ourselves each and everyday?  We want results right away and when we don't see it, all too often we give up.

Maybe the results you are striving for is on the scale or maybe it is getting a promotion at work.  Whatever your goal is, just remember that Rome wasn't built in a day and results definitely won't appear over night.  It takes dedication and heart to make little steps each day.

Today is a perfect day for another Motivational Monday post from The Healthy Home Cook.

Personally, I get frustrated if I don't beat my time on a run or bike ride. I feel like every run should be better than the last.  But, honestly how crazy is that?  You can't always have a P.R. (personal record) on every workout.  I finally realized that as long as I get out and workout to the best of my ability, I am making progress.

I was able to see this come to fruition on a recent duathlon I competed in.  Going into the race I was not sure how I would come out. My training had been either a hit or miss with my 1 year old.  I was feeling down and not optimistic about seeing the results at all. However, I finished 3rd in my age group and had one of the best races of my life.

Even though each day may not have been the best training I had hoped for, in the bigger picture I was able to make more progress than I had thought.  Just getting out for a little while to exercise, or at home while my son napped, helped my body continue to reach greater goals.

So, from me to you....just remember that "a little progress each day, adds up to big results."
