Since both of my boys have started going to pre-school, I have been on a constant quest for new, fun, healthy recipes they can take for lunch. I know both of them get tired of the same old stuff, just like the rest of us. But, trying to find something they both like...that is a different story.
Recently I made a batch of these Chicken Broccoli & Cheese Crescent Rolls, and to my surprise, they BOTH ate it up. I personally loved how easy they were to make. Just fill, roll, and bake. It's the ultimate kid-friendly (and mom-friendly) recipe!
What ingredients do I need?
- 12 oz can chicken
- 1 cup finely chopped broccoli
- 1 cup medium cheddar cheese shredded
- 16 crescent rolls
How do I make Chicken Broccoli & Cheese Crescent Rolls?
Start by chopping 1 cup of broccoli into tiny pieces. Next, open and drain a 12 oz can of chicken breast chunks.
In a large bowl, combine broccoli and chicken with 1 cup of shredded medium cheddar cheese. Stir well so all the ingredients are evenly mixed.
Spoon a small amount of the mixture into your crescent roll dough and roll it up. There should be enough filling for approximately 16 crescent rolls.
Bake them at 375 degrees F. for approximately 10-12 minutes. Remove and let cool, before serving. (You can also freeze them for the future.)
