WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
- 4 cups preferred pasta (elbow macaroni, rotini, or small shells)
- 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 oz shredded Colby jack cheese
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- ½ teaspoon salt

HOW DO I MAKE HOMEMADE MACARONI & CHEESE?
Start by cooking the pasta according to package instructions. Then drain and set aside for now.
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and continue to stir together until you have a roux, then add the milk, salt and dry mustard.
Continue simmering until it begins to thicken. Lower the heat and stir in the cheeses until melted.
Remove from heat and stir in the cooked macaroni until everything is well combined.
