WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
- 2 ripe bananas - mashed
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter - melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- ⅔ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup chopped pecans
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside for now.
In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Then slowly add the dry mixture to your wet ingredients.
Add the mashed banana and mix until you have a smooth batter.

Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts. Then, spread the mixture into a parchment paper lined 9x9 baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Carefully remove pan from oven and let the bars cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
