In under 30 minutes, you can create fluffy, golden donuts that are loaded with protein and perfect for breakfast or an afternoon treat.

I’ve never met a donut I didn’t like. But, homemade donuts always sounded like they’d be a real pain to make. NOT ANYMORE! This version is actually very easy. They’re baked, so you don’t have to deal with a hot greasy mess. And the chocolate glaze is to die for.
Without a doubt, this baked donut recipe is our absolute favorite!

HOW DO I MAKE GLUTEN FREE PROTEIN DONUTS?
Making Gluten Free Protein Donuts at home is way easier than you think!
Start by preheating your oven to 325 degrees F. Then spray your donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together gluten free flour, protein powder, baking powder and salt. Add the maple syrup, olive oil, almond milk, egg, vanilla and almond extract. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
In order to transfer the batter to your donut pan, you can either spoon the batter in, or you can pour the batter into a ziplock bag, cut off the corner, and pipe the batter into the molds.
My pan has 6 donut molds, but this recipe could easily make 8.

Once you have transferred the batter to the pan, bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove the pan from your oven and let the donuts cool before turning out onto a cooling rack.

You can choose to leave the donuts as is, or add the chocolate glaze. To create the glaze, simply whisk together 4 tablespoons cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons coconut oil- melted, and 1 tablespoon almond milk (or preferred). If you want it a little sweeter, add an additional tablespoon of honey and ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
When you have a smooth glaze, dip the top of each donut in the chocolate and garnish with rainbow sprinkles.

Skip the frying. These Gluten Free Donuts are light, fluffy, loaded with protein and baked to perfection!
