    A Mother's Promise

    #MothersPromise

May it be big or small, any promise a mother makes will do.

What is your definition of success?

Society tells us that nice cars, a big house, and fancy clothes make us successful (and to be honest, I used to agree with that statement).  But, what is your true vision of it?  Since becoming a mom, my idea of success has been altered dramatically.  It has come from a lot of reflection and self led personal development.  But in my honest opinion, success is having a loving husband, close friendships, and being a nurturing mother.  What is more successful than that?

Life as a new mom is full of excitement, fun, stress, and love.  As each day goes by, I wonder what it is that I can do to bring more joy to Neal's life?  I knew one way I could promise a better life for my son, is to stay as fit and healthy as possible for him.  It is a simple promise, but a very important one.  I want to introduce him to not only group sports, but solo ones as well.  Running, biking, swimming...all things kids should be exposed to.  Picasso once said, "every child is an artist," but I believe every child is an athlete.

We as mothers (and fathers) need to keep their enthusiasm going and not let them get caught up in the world of tv and video games.  Workout with your kids.  Lead by example.  They will soak up these experiences like a sponge.  I remember watching my parents participate in races when I was a little girl and seeing their metals hanging on the wall.  Watching their determination and love for fitness motivated me to want to participate in road races and triathlons.  They are why I am what I am today.  I can only hope that my promise to Neal will have the same effect.

May it be big or small, any promise a mother makes will do.

I have partnered with Pampers to share how I will keep this "Mother's Promise" to my son and make sure it stays in the forefront of my mind.  To do this, I have created a fitness wall that my husband, son, and I can share, showcasing our accomplishments.  It will keep me motivated to stay fit for everyone, especially for Neal.  I personally love the quote "Happy healthy parents make happy healthy children."

May it be big or small, any promise a mother makes will do.

Another way to give a lifetime of happiness and love to your sweet child, is by using Pampers Premium Care diapers.  Not only are they gentle on your babies skin but they are super absorbent too.  I have tried many different brands of diapers since Neal was born, but none have compared to these.  You can conveniently find them at your local Walmart and Walmart.com, which is the best part.  I hate searching high and low for a specific product, especially while toting around a baby.  The threshold for shopping with a happy baby is only so big.  Buying online is just that much easier for me.

May it be big or small, any promise a mother makes will do.

I challenge you to make a promise to your little one, as well.  May it be big or small, any promise will do.   Leave a comment below, I would love to hear from you!

I love that you want to introduce him to group and solo sports! I think there is so much to learn for kids through the hard work it takes to improve just for themself! I always tell my kids that winning is awesome, but I am most proud of them when they work hard and are kind!
