This delicious Cinnamon Roll Protein Overnight Oats recipe is perfect for quick nutrition in the morning!
Who doesn't love a soft, gooey-in-the-middle, smothered in cream cheese, cinnamon roll? Sounds amazing, right? I'm not going to lie, sounds pretty good to me. However, if you are looking for a lighter, more nutritious breakfast, a traditional cinnamon roll may not be the best option.
This Cinnamon Roll Protein Overnight Oats recipe is full of that cinnamon-sugar flavor you love but with much less calories and fat. 5 minutes to prep and ready right when you wake up!
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED FOR CINNAMON ROLL PROTEIN OVERNIGHT OATS?
This specific recipe has an extra dose of protein thanks to some added vanilla protein powder. I used Orgain Vanilla Bean, feel free to use your favorite brand.
- ½ cup oats
- ¾ cup preferred milk
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Instead of cooking on the stove or in the microwave, once you have mixed all your ingredients together, you’ll want to let your oats sit in the fridge overnight (or for at least a few hours).
I prefer to use mason jars, or bail lid jars. But these overnight oat jars you can find on Amazon are great, too.
When you’re ready to enjoy, remove from the fridge, add some more milk (if desired) and ENJOY! The best kind of breakfast is one that doesn’t require lifting a finger in the morning.
These Cinnamon Roll Protein Overnight Oats, is the best, make ahead meal for busy families.

Can I use maple syrup instead of suger
Julie says
Of course! I would use a little less than the amount of brown sugar required. Try 1/2 tsp first. If you want it a little sweeter, feel free to add more.

How long would these keep in the fridge? Can I make several days worth ahead of time?
Julie says
You can store them up to 5 days. However, the oats will become more soft (mushy) as the days go on. I typically make 3 days worth.

Hi Julie! Does this recipe only make one serving, or do I split it between two jars? Thanks!
Julie says
This is for 1 serving. I usually double it and make two jars for a couple mornings.
jillian says
hi julie! can i use steel cut oats?
Julie says
Sure. They are a lot firmer and hold their texture more. I would heat the liquids first before adding the oats, to help soften them.
