The combination of juicy pineapple, sweet red peppers, onions and sliced ham, all charred to perfection, is an explosion of flavor you don't want to miss.

Who knew so much flavor could be packed on a wooden stick?
Whether you’re craving a taste of the tropics or just want a super easy grilling recipe, this recipe is simple yet stunning.

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
- 2 ham steaks
- 1 red onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 20 oz can pineapple chunks
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ½ cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or preferred)
- salt & pepper to taste

HOW DO I MAKE HAWAIIAN HAM SKEWERS?
Start by soaking the wooden skewers in water. Open and drain the pineapple chunks.
Cut the ham, onion and red bell pepper into bite-sized chunks. Then toss them in a large bowl with olive oil, salt & pepper.
Next, load up the wooden skewers with the seasoned ingredients.

In a small bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce and honey.
Place the skewers on a preheated grill. As they cook, be sure to watch for grill marks. Turn and continue to grill until the entire kabobs has those beautiful marks, which means it’s ready.
2-3 minutes before you take them off the grill, brush all sides of the skewers with the honey-teriyaki sauce. Save any remaining sauce to serve with the skewers later.

You can serve the skewers as they are, or carefully remove all the grilled ingredients from the sticks and serve in a large bowl. I like to plate mine with a heaping side of Jasmine Rice.
