WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 1 ½ cups water
- dash of salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: nonstick cooking spray

TO RINSE OR NOT TO RINSE?
Rinsing rice helps to remove excess starch, dirt, debris, and other impurities on the grain. If you decide not to rinse the rice, it can lead to a sticky, gummy texture instead of a fluffier, more separated result.

HOW DO I COOK INSTANT POT JASMINE RICE?
Start by rinsing the rice in a strainer until the water runs mostly clear. Then place the rice in your Instant Pot. *I prefer to spray the inside of my Instant Pot with nonstick cooking spray, to make sure there is no chance of rice sticking to the bottom.

Add the water, salt and olive oil to the Instant Pot. You do not need to stir the ingredients.

Close the lid, seal the steam release valve, and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes. Once the cooking time is complete, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes. Then, carefully release any remaining pressure.
Fluff the rice with a fork, then scoop into a serving bowl.
