    Heating Pad Vs Ice Pack

Heating pad vs ice pack, which is best to use when recovering from an injury?

It's always a debate...heating pad vs ice pack.  Which is best to use when recovering from an injury? Depending on the type of issue you are experiencing, the result may surprise you.  Today I have compiled a list of common injuries and what method is best for optimal recovery.

*Please note I am not a licensed doctor. I am a certified personal trainer and have used these methods on many of my clients. Consult your physician before any recovery or workout regimen. And be sure not to use cold or heat packs on the following:

    • over areas of skin with poor sensation to heat or cold
    • over areas of the body with known poor circulation
    • if you have diabetes
    • in the presence of infection
