HOW DO I MAKE JALAPENO POPPER CRESCENTS?
Start by slicing the fresh jalapeños in half and de-seed them.
In a mixing bowl, combine the bacon, cheeses, chives and garlic powder.

Spoon the bacon-cream cheese mixture into the center of each jalapeño. Then carefully roll a crescent around each of them.
Place the stuffed crescents on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for approximately 10 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

A mix of crispy bacon, chives and cheesy filling, all stuffed in a fresh jalapeño then wrapped in a fluffy crescent roll.....how could you resist?!
I know this may not seem like the typical "The Healthy Home Cook" recipe. But life is all about balance and enjoying the foods you love. This easy, homemade appetizer is one of those recipes that I can't live without.

Hi Julie - I have a heavy work schedule. Can these be made ahead of time and frozen, to be taken out and reheated in the oven as a side dish? If so, what is your suggested temp/time.
Julie says
Thanks for the message! I have not tried freezing them. But I did a little research for you... If you do freeze them, place the frozen (not thawed) croissants in a 350 degrees F. preheated oven for approximately 5-8 minutes. If you make the Jalapeno Popper Crescents a day in advance and don't freeze them, you can simply wrap them in foil and bake at 350 degrees F, for 8-10 minutes. Let me know how it goes!

Can you chop up the jalapenos and mix in the cream cheese mixture and then place them in the crescent rolls and bake them?
Julie says
of course!
