HOW DO I MAKE DARK CHOCOLATE CHAI PROTEIN BITES?
Start by blending 1 ⅓ cup of oats and ⅔ cup of cashews (you can use raw or roasted). Pulse until you have a crumbly texture. But, be sure not to over blend. You will end up creating a cashew paste, instead of a flour like consistency.
In a large bowl, combine the oat/cashew mixture along with the following ingredients:
- 4 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon natural maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon chai spice - Try my Homemade Chai Mix
- 1 tablespoon chocolate protein powder
- ⅓ cup dark chocolate chips
Stir thoroughly so all the ingredients are well combined. Next, you will form small balls and place in refrigerator or freezer to set.
Store them in an airtight container in your freezer or refrigerator for when the craving strikes.
