Make your own protein treats at home with this no-bake, power packed recipe for Chewy Chocolate Coconut Protein Bites.
Store bought granola bars, energy bars and protein bars are a great option for anyone on the go with no options other than greasy fast food or candy. But, for anyone who is really watching what they put into their bodies these bars may not be the best choice. Typically they have added sugars and other unnecessary ingredients. It is very important to read the labels for not only total calories and fat, but the sugar and carbohydrates included in each bar.
If you have the choice and/or time, I always recommend making homemade protein bites. That way you can take control of the ingredients and know exactly what is going into them.
Even though these may seem like a sweet indulgence, my Chewy Chocolate Coconut Protein Bites are nothing to feel guilty about. Full of flax, protein and sweet coconut, you will have a yummy treat perfect for any time of the day.
