Got a backyard BBQ planned? Show off your grilling skills with this insanely delicious Grilled Sesame Bok Choy. The smokey, charred leaves and tender stalks are the perfect complement to any meal. It's must make side dish for grilling season.
Since we moved cross-country I haven't used our grill too much. Between un-packing, organizing, dealing with a 8 month old, exercising and making sure our dog gets exercise, I forget we even have a grill outside.
Don't be like me...take advantage of your grill and the summer produce available now.
Bok Choy is definitely a vegetable you don't want to miss out on. Chances are you have seen it in the grocery store, but kept on walking because you either 1. didn't know what it was or 2. don't know how to cook it. Don't worry, I was there once too. Bok Choy is now one of my favorite vegetables. It is a great source of vitamin C, vitamin A, manganese and zinc. You can sauté it, throw it in a soup, roast it and grill it! It's awesome!

HOW DO I MAKE GRILLED SESAME BOK CHOY?
To create this easy, grilled recipe start by rinsing and slicing the bok choy into two large sections.
On a baking sheet or large plate, drizzle the bok choy with 2-3 tablespoon of sesame oil and top with sea salt and cracked black pepper.
When your grill is nice and hot, carefully place your bok choy on the grill and cook for approximately 5-10 minutes on each side. (The cooking time will depend on how hot your grill is.)
Once you see the leaves start to char and you have yummy looking grill marks on the stalks, go ahead and remove from the grill.
Last but not least, top your bok choy with a little sriracha sauce and a dash of sesame seeds. Simple as that, you have a beautiful healthy side dish.
Whether you are an old fan or new fan of bok choy you will love this recipe. It's amazingly easy to prepare and yet people just can't get enough of it. Trust me, no one at your BBQ will be able to put their forks down.
