Use up those leftover meatballs in this easy 3-ingredient slider recipe!
There is just something about croissant rolls that my kids can't get enough of. They definitely prefer them to traditional dinner rolls. They will eat them plain, stuffed with chicken, cheese, and even vegetables. Either way, I always make sure I have a can of crescent rolls in my fridge for the whole family.
This new recipe for meatball sliders, is simple, delicious and very kid-friendly. Not to mention the perfect game day snack, holiday appetizer, or quick dinner!
If you have leftover juicy meatballs or frozen meatballs sitting around, THIS is the perfect way to use them up.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
Because I like to make things as simple as possible, this recipe uses leftover frozen meatballs and canned croissant dough. Yes, if you have a homemade meatballs recipe or homemade croissant recipe that you love, feel free to use them.
However, for this specific recipe I wanted it to come together quickly and easily.
- 1 can croissant dough
- 8-10 leftover meatballs (pork meatballs, beef, turkey, etc)
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- **BBQ sauce, if your meatballs are not already coated in sauce.
- Optional: dash of garlic powder on top.
HOW DO I MAKE LEFTOVER BBQ MEATBALL CROISSANT SLIDERS?
STEP 1: Open canned croissant dough, divide in half. Roll out each piece, making sure the perforations are no longer there.
STEP 2: If your meatballs are not already coated in BBQ sauce, toss them in your favorite sauce. Then place 4-5 in a row on each croissant section.
STEP 3: Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
STEP 4: Pinch the croissant dough together in between each meatball so that it stays in place. *Sprinkle with a dash of garlic powder, if desired.
STEP 5: Bake in your oven at 375 degrees F for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Instead of another meatball casserole, try this simple sandwich recipe with so much flavor! Tender meatballs wrapped into the perfect meal.
