I may not be able to help you out with the carpooling or running your kids to after school events, but I've got you covered with an awesome recipe.
This recipe for Sautéed Apples with Crunchy Oats is just what you are looking for. It's the perfect after school snack or sweet side dish to any meal. Naturally seasoned with cinnamon and all spice, then topped with crushed Nature Valley™ Oats N Honey Granola Bars, I promise there is NO WAY your kids will not devour it.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
- 3 large apples
- 2 tablespoon coconut oil
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon all spice
- 2 packages of Nature Valley™ Oats N Honey Granola Bars
Nature Valley™ Oats N Honey Granola Bars is the picture perfect addition to this recipe and one of hundreds of General Mills products that can be purchased for the Box Tops for Education Program.

The first thing you need to do is simple, just cut the Box Tops off the packages and send them in with your child to give to the designated Box Top coordinator (if you don’t know who it is, it's usually safe to drop them off at the front office).

HOW DO I MAKE SAUTEED APPLES WITH CRUNCHY OATS?
Now, back to my new favorite recipe! To create my simple Sautéed Apples with Crunchy Oats, start by slicing & peeling 3 large apples.
Sautéed Apples with Crunchy Oats
Ingredients
- 3 large apples
- 2 tablespoon coconut oil
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon all spice
- 2 packages of Nature Valley™ Oats N Honey Granola Bars
Instructions
- Start by slicing & peeling 3 large apples.
- Next you will sauté the apples in a skillet with 2 tablespoon of coconut oil for approximately 15 minutes. Once the apples start to cook down and become tender, sprinkle on ½ teaspoon of cinnamon and ¼ teaspoon of all spice. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
- While the apples are still cooking, take 2 packages of Nature Valley™ Oats N Honey Granola Bars and break them into pieces.
- When you apples are finished cooking, remove your skillet from the heat and top them with the granola bar crumble.
