Strawberry Sweet Rolls are perfect for brunch or any holiday. Each roll is fluffy, fruity, and dusted with a light layer of powdered sugar.

There’s nothing more satisfying than waking up to the smell of sweet rolls baking in the oven. But, really, it doesn't have to be in the morning. There is no wrong time for sweet rolls.
My family can destroy a pan of Homemade Cinnamon Rolls in no time. But instead of the usual cinnamon roll, I decided to switch it up with these Strawberry Sweet Rolls.
Trust me, there is no need to wait for the next holiday or special occasion to make them. These Strawberry Sweet Rolls are so good you'll want to enjoy them every day!

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
Dough:
- 1 cup warm milk (or almond milk)
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup butter (or vegan butter, ghee, coconut oil)
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup white sugar (coconut sugar, palm sugar, or any granulated sugar-free alternative)
- 1 packet active dry yeast (approx. 2 ¼ tsp)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Filling:
I based this strawberry filling on my Raspberry Chia Seed Jam, but swapped out the raspberries for fresh strawberries.
- 2 cups fresh strawberries - chopped
- 1 ½ tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon chia seeds
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

HOW DO I MAKE STRAWBERRY SWEET ROLLS?
TO CREATE THE FILLING:
- In a saucepan, add strawberries and begin to warm over low heat.
- As berries start to warm, mash with a fork or potato masher until you have a fairly smooth consistency.
- Add in honey and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add in chia seeds along with vanilla extract.
- Stir well, and let sit.
- Once jam cools, place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. The chia seeds will continue to soak up liquid and create a thicker, jelly like consistency.
TO CREATE THE DOUGH:
- Whisk yeast into the warm milk until dissolved.
- In a large bowl, mix together sugar, butter, eggs & salt. Add milk and mix again.
- Stir in flour to your wet ingredients. Using your hands, gently knead the dough for 2 minutes. (dust your hands with flour for this, since the dough will be sticky)
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Remove dough from the bowl and place on a floured surface. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
- Roll dough out into a large rectangular shape.
- Spread desired amount of the strawberry jam evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough up, starting on the long side. Cut the dough into 12-15 rolls (I prefer to use floss to slice the rolls).
- Place the rolls in a greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes, or until fluffy and golden brown.
- Remove rolls from oven and dust with powdered sugar.
- ENJOY!
