My Wild Rice Salad is a gorgeous, healthy salad that is perfect year round. Serve it hot or cold, either way, you will love it!

This is a crazy, flavor-packed recipe with awesome textures. Crisp celery, soft rice, crunchy almonds, and chewy raisins make this dish super addictive. The tangy vinaigrette is the perfect topping, that only adds to the amazingness of this salad. This Wild Rice Salad is a fresh and clean dish that is perfect as a side dish, but I often take it as a meal for lunch.
A huge part of eating clean and staying on track is the food that you keep in your house. I try to make it a priority to keep clean, unprocessed foods in my house. It has helped me control my weight and ensure that I feel great every day.

HOW DO I MAKE WILD RICE SALAD?
Start by prepping 4 cups of cooked wild rice. There is no specific type that I use every time. Just make sure to use your favorite! The rice in these photos are from a local natural food store that has lentils and black eyed peas mixed in.
While the rice is cooking, chop 4 green onions, 3 celery stalks and ½ cup raw almonds. Next in a small bowl whisk together ½ cup of olive oil, ¼ cup of red wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard and a dash of salt & pepper.
Once the rice is finished cooking, place in a large mixing bowl along with vinaigrette, chopped vegetables, almonds, and ¾ cup of golden raisins. You can serve it immediately if you want it warm, or you can place it in your refrigerator to cool for later.

We all want to eat healthy, but it can be challenging to know how to make the right choices. Start by eating a bowl of this Wild Rice Salad! It is a delicious choice and a great way to start!
