This fresh Pico de Gallo is the perfect dip for tacos, chips, and more! Learn how to make this easy recipe in less than 10 minutes!

If you read my blog often, you should remember when I acquired an insane amount of fresh tomatoes from a friend. The first recipe I made with the tomatoes was my Homemade Marinara Sauce. I totally thought I would use most of the tomatoes with that recipe, but to my surprise I still had a $h*t load left. (I love tomatoes, so that wasn't a bad thing).
As I stood in front of my refrigerator and stared at the shelves full of tomatoes, I decided to make one of my favorite Mexican recipes. I don't know why I didn't think of it before. This authentic Pico De Gallo is a great way to use fresh tomatoes. It's spicy and goes well on anything!

I don't know what it is with Mexican food, but once I start eating it's hard to stop. It's like a can of Pringles! "Once you pop, the fun don't stop!" Without a doubt, any time I go to a Mexican restaurant I end up filling myself with chips and salsa before my meal comes. Anyone else do that?!
The next time you are craving a spicy Mexican dinner, try to avoid binging on a huge bowl of chips like me. Make a healthy meal at home. Top your tacos, fish or chicken with my simple Pico De Gallo.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
- 5 roma tomatoes
- ½ cup red onion
- 1 cup fresh cilantro
- 1-2 jalapenos
- 1 lime
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- dash of salt

HOW DO I MAKE PICO DE GALLO?
Start by chopping 5 roma tomatoes, ½ cup of red onion, 1 cup of fresh cilantro and 1-2 jalapenos. (Feel free to use fresh or pickled jalapenos).
Place the ingredients in a bowl, then add the juice of 1 lime, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic and a dash of salt. Stir well and store it in an airtight container until you are ready to serve.

Pico de Gallo
Ingredients
- 5 roma tomatoes
- ½ cups red onion
- 1 cup fresh cilantro
- 1-2 jalapenos
- 1 lime
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- dash of salt
Instructions
- Chop the tomatoes, onion, cilantro and jalapenos.
- Place ingredients in a bowl and add lime juice, minced garlic and salt.
- Stir well and store in an airtight container.
