These Chunky Monkey Protein Balls are perfectly portioned, protein packed, and way too delicious!
Warning! These Chunky Monkey Protein Balls are addicting. There is no better combination than banana, peanut butter and chocolate, am I right?!
While I attended college, I remember going to a smoothie place across the street from my dorm. I would often run across the street, dogging typical Boston traffic, just to get my favorite smoothie with the same combination of flavors. It was an amazing treat that I probably enjoyed a little too often.
Now that I look back, foods I used to think were somewhat healthy for me, were anything but. Just because it has the word "smoothie" or "shake" does not make it good for you. Be careful! I know this particular smoothie was packed full of whole milk, sugary peanut butter, and loads of chocolate syrup. But, dang...it was addicting (as many fast food/"health" food places are).
Now that I am much more conscious of what I put into my body and the effect it has, I tend to stick to my homemade versions of snacks. That way I know what is going into them.

These no bake Chunky Monkey Protein Balls turned out just how I hoped. They are perfectly soft and chewy, with pops of crunch from dried banana chips. There is no way you can walk away with just one!
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED FOR CHUNKY MONKEY PROTEIN BALLS?
- 1 cup oatmeal
- ¼ cup flax seeds
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- ½ cup natural peanut butter (creamy)
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup dried banana chips (broken into pieces)
- ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Not only are these protein balls easy to make, but they are no-bake as well. My kind of recipe!
HOW DO I MAKE CHUNKY MONKEY PROTEIN BALLS?
In a large mixing bowl, you will combine 1 cup of oatmeal, ¼ cup flax seeds and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder.
Next, stir in ½ cup natural peanut butter (creamy) and ⅓ cup of honey until you have a fairly smooth consistency.
Add in ¼ cup of dried banana chips (broken into pieces) and ¼ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Make sure all the ingredients are well integrated, then start to form small balls by hand and place them on a baking sheet or large plate.
Place them in your refrigerator or freezer to firm up (approximately 15-20 minutes), then you're done!

Delicious! A go to recipe in my house. Do you know how many grams of protein each ball is approximately?
