Smoothies are quick to make, require little clean up, and are an easy way to get your fruit and vegetable servings in. With this Cinnamon Almond Smoothie you will be able to boost your metabolism and pack your diet with powerful nutrients. I like to enjoy it in the morning to help jump start my day, or as a recovery meal after a good workout. This simple recipe can be modified based on how you typically like your smoothies. If you like them more thick, add additional almonds and/or ice. If you enjoy them on the thinner side, add more milk or water.
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup of raw or roasted almonds (not salted)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup ice
- Mix banana and milk in a blender.
- Add almonds, cinnamon, and ice. Blend well.
- Transfer smoothie to glass and enjoy!
