Inspired by your traditional banana nut bread, this recipe for Banana Nut Granola is a must make for the entire family.
I'm pretty sure you can never have too many granola recipes. And if anyone was to say I was wrong....I would simply ignore them. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.
As I've said before, I could live on homemade granola. There are so many ways you can use it! Top your morning yogurt with it, sprinkle it over fresh fruit, or in my case...shovel it in your mouth by the handful while running out the door. Either way, it's DELICIOUS!
This recipe for Banana Nut Granola is clean and simple. With crunchy oats, pecans and a hint of banana flavor that is not to overwhelming, you will find it hard to keep your hands away.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
- 1 large ripe banana
- 2 cups oats
- ½ cup pecans chopped
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon coconut oil melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- dash of salt
HOW DO I MAKE BANANA NUT GRANOLA?
Start by mashing 1 large ripe banana. Next, place the mashed banana in a large bowl with the following and mix well:
- 2 cups oats
- ½ cup pecans- chopped
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon coconut oil- melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- dash of salt
Pour your mixture onto a prepared baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 20-25 minutes, stirring often.
Remove from oven and let cool. (As, I've said in my previous granola recipes, don't be concerned if the granola is still a little soft when you take it out of the oven. It will become crunchy as it cools off.)
Naturally sweetened and OH-SO yummy, you will be running to the kitchen to get your hands on this Banana Nut Granola!
