Who needs grocery store Kit Kat bars when you can make your own version at home?
What's not to love about Kit Kat bars. They perfectly crispy, crunchy and chocolatey.
This recipe for Homemade Kit Kat Bars is one of the easiest recipes to make. It's perfect for kids to help out with, too!
Typically, Kit Kat Bars are made of wafer cookies dipped in milk chocolate. However, now you can find them in other flavors such as Mint + Dark Chocolate and Strawberry + Dark Chocolate. I have yet to try those, but they sound amazing to me!
What ingredients do I need?
- Chocolate or Vanilla wafer cookies
- Chocolate chips (milk or dark)
- Coconut oil
Another great thing is that you can make these bars with vanilla or chocolate wafer cookies. I did both!
How do I make Homemade Kit Kat Bars?
Get ready to create this easy and delicious Kit Kat Bar recipe in your own kitchen. No baking involved!
Step 1: Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave safe bowl.
Step 2: Dip the wafer cookies in the melted chocolate, then place on a parchment paper lined tray. (I used a fork for this step, so I didn't have to get my hands messy).
Step 3: Place the tray in your refrigerator or freezer until the chocolate has set.
**Note: you probably don’t want to store these at room temperature for too long. I recommend keeping them in a ziploc bag in the fridge or freezer until you are ready to serve.
Now you can enjoy crispy, crunchy Kit Kat Bars whenever you want!
