With just a few ingredients, you can indulge in this cool, creamy, minty protein smoothie.
It's the season for all things peppermint! I can never get enough. I've already made Peppermint Bark, Gluten Free Peppermint Biscotti, Almond Flour Chocolate Peppermint Cookies, Peppermint Espresso Protein Balls, and more!
But if you are trying to hit your protein goals, and not let your nutrition go completely out of the window, this Vanilla Peppermint Protein Smoothie is a new favorite. It's a cinch to make, the flavor is amazing, and it's perfect for the holidays.
For a fun treat, you can garnish with crushed peppermints. I usually skip this step if I'm running out the door. But my kids love it!
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED?
- ½ cup almond milk (or preferred)
- ½ banana
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- ⅛ - ¼ teaspoon peppermint extract (depending how minty you would like it)
- 1 cup ice
(Right now, I’m going between Orgain – vanilla bean and Earth Chimp – plain & unsweetened powders. Both are great options).
HOW DO I MAKE A VANILLA PEPPERMINT PROTEIN SMOOTHIE?
As I’ve said in my previous smoothie/ protein shake recipes, I usually use a Bullet Mixer, since I’m making enough for myself. But if my kids want in on the action, I will use a larger blender like this Ninja Blender. Both are great options. Use whatever you have!
You really can’t mess this up…
Start by adding all the ingredients to your blender. Blend until you have a smooth, creamy consistency.
Garnish with crushed peppermints, if desired.
